Title:

Program Planning and Scheduling Manager

The Marine Corps Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy. We are seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager for our Jacksonville, Florida location.

Job Summary:

· Manage all scheduling efforts and scheduling baselines. Ensure schedules are developed in accordance with Government planning considerations, production planning milestones and requirements.

· Provide Plans Analyst with day-to-day hands on support, guidance, troubleshooting, and achieve operational requirements.

· Provide guidance to Plans Analyst in the areas of developing and analyzing schedules, resource analysis, critical path analysis, baseline change requests, and variance analysis.

· Coordinate strategic planning activities between Blount Island Command (BIC) and other support contractors.

· Review and monitor production plans and schedules for accomplishing ship maintenance cycles.

· Develop and implement standard ship planning and data monitoring metrics to ensure production milestones are achieved.

· Perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path challenges.

· Develop and maintain a model partnership with BIC Plans counterpart to jointly pursue continuous improvement processes.

· Ensure that all mission required planning products and services are delivered in accordance with customer requirements.

· Ensure that 100% of customer-required data delivered on time to support ship embarkation schedules.

· Coordinate the overall maintenance production cycle between all operational, production support, and material support commodities.

· Report weekly progress and status to program management and BIC leadership.

· Ensure that appropriate personnel and training programs are in place to grow the effectiveness of the workforce to improve operations and increase profitability.

· Provide bid and proposal support as needed.

· Provide team leadership to identify, deploy and develop team member strengths. Ensure a safe, pleasant and productive work environment.

· Maintain MPF ISO 9001:2015 policies and procedures and ensure on-going compliance.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. BS in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, Accounting or related field.
  2. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
  3. 10+ years of experience in project scheduling along with expert level skills using Microsoft Project (or equivalent).
  4. 5 years supervisory experience.
  5. Working knowledge of EVMS principles.
  6. Must demonstrate strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles.
  7. PMP or equivalent preferred.
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office programs (MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).
  10. A working knowledge of Six Sigma quality process improvement processes.
  11. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  12. Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance & CAC card.
  13. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
