Unix System Administrator Full-Time - Military veterans preferred

Primarily responsible for Microsoft Windows Server administration including Microsoft Exchange Server, VMware, Citrix Presentation Server, and SQL Server.

Supports critical software information requirements and is on call for problem resolution.

EDUCATION: Associates degree in information systems (or related field). Two years of system administration experience will substitute for Associate's degree.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification required or must be attained within 18 months.

SKILLS: Windows 2000/2003 system administration with hardware knowledge (preferably IBM hardware), MS Clustering for High Availability, Linux and/or VMware ESX. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting techniques. TCP/IP and other networking protocols. Ability to maintain good customer relations, ability to explain complex solutions and problems to users (regardless of their technical ability), excellent problem solving and communication skills, good technical writing and documentation skills, all required.

EXPERIENCE:

Four years experience in the support and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Servers systems. Six years required if candidate does not have an Associates Degree.

General office setting with exposure to computer room environment. Exposure to patient care and ancillary biohazards. Extended video display exposure and use of keyboard.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50 lbs. May be required to reach objects typically not in excess of 5 lbs. up to 8 ft. above the floor with the assistance of a step stool. Extended use of video display terminal and keyboard utilizing sound ergonomic principles.
