We are actively hiring a Data Scientist to join our Defense & Homeland Security Division on a newly awarded, 5-year contract based in the Fort Meade area. The FIRST of the Next Generation Analysis Contracts has been awarded. This multi-year contract needs you to fill positions as mathematicians, data scientists, engineers, collection managers and analysts. As a Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing / implementing machine learning
• Data science
• Advanced analytical algorithms
• Programming (skill in at least one high-level language (e.g., Python))
• Statistical analysis (e.g., variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, application of linear models)
• Data management (e.g., data cleaning and transformation)
• Data mining
• Data modeling and assessment
• Artificial intelligence, and/or
• Software engineering

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience in one or more area is strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.  Associate’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
• Degree must be in:

    • Machine Learning
    • Data Science
    • Operations Research
    • Computer Science
• A broader range of degrees will be considered if accompanied by a Certificate in Data Science from an accredited college/university.
• Degree and minimum years of relevant work experience as follows
  • • AA and 10 years of experience or,
    • BA/BS and 8 years of experience or,
    • MA/MS and 6 years of experience or,
    • PhD and 4 years of experience
