Automation Test Engineer - Military veterans preferred

Job description

What will you be doing?

• Joining a distributed Agile software development team
• Working with other teams to refine deliverables
• Implementing the automation of software functionality and processes as code
• Exploring ways to improve software delivery processes
• Helping to create automation frameworks from scratch
• Designing and executing QA tests (automation and manual) for desktop, native, and web applications
• Testing back-end APIs that integrate with different products
• Automating work processes and testing to improve cycle time
• Proposing changes to tools or processes and driving those changes
• Determining new requirements and deriving test plans from them
• Identifying bugs and quality issues in development, service, and/or business processes
• Working on the CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with DevOps Engineers
• Assisting in the deployment of the company’s client software onto both mobile and desktop platforms
• Continuously looking for new and better ways to improve the product

What skills/experience do you need?

• Mid-level experience in automation testing or development
• Familiarity with a programming language (preferably Java, C++, or C#)
• Experience performing both automated and manual testing
• Ability to write SQL queries in relational databases
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting
• Background working with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
