Our clientis looking for a Database Administrator to work full-time onsite in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, performance, and integrity of the company database.
Performing database housekeeping, such as tuning, indexing, etc.
Assist data modeling to design and implement data structures which meet the business requirement for timely, accurate data
Promote data quality and enforce data integrity
Administering database availability and performance, including incident and problem management
Resolve database performance issues, capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Determine user requirements, set up and test computer databases, and coordinate changes
Interact with development and end-user personnel to determine application data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases
Security+ is required within six months of joining team
Minimum of 3+ years of Oracle/PeopleSoft DBA experience
Bachelor's degree required
Understanding of and adherence to Oracle’s Best-Practices for database administration and security
Experience with systems administration, UNIX/Linux/Windows shell or Windows PowerShell scripting
Experience with Oracle, SQL, or tuning and configuration, working in a multi-project environment
Multi-year experience with administering Oracle, MySQL, and large enterprise arena, and significant experience with development tools and languages, such as PL/SQL, Java, Python,
Experience with Oracle database 12c or higher
Conceptual understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery
Knowledge of administration or conceptual understanding of Oracle Database technologies:
Automated Storage Management (ASM)
Recovery Manager (RMAN)
Transparent Application Failover (TAF)
Oracle Connection Manager (OCM)
Patching and maintenance
Oracle Cloud Control (OEM)
