Responsibilities:

  • Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks.
  • Keep an eye out for needed updates.
  • Support and administer third-party applications.
  • Ensure network security and connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
  • Resolve problems reported by end user.
  • Define network policies and procedures.
  • Specify network requirements and design solution.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Installing and configuring Cisco Switches L2.
  • Installing and configuring FWs.
  • Administrating the FWs and security polices.
  • Monitoring Network and provide daily reports.
  • Configuring ADSL,SDSL Lines and Wireless access point on different sites.
  • Real experience with ticket and service management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience from 3 to 5 years
  • Proven experience in a network security administrator role
  • Hands-on experience in networking, routing, switching and security
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
  • Experience with different vendors of firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
  • Having an entry-level certificate in networking like CCNA, CCNA Security, JNCIA , are a must and CCNP routing and switching, security or is highly preferred.
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Above average knowledge of all versions of the Windows Operating System.
  • Above average knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP.
  • Able to manage multiple projects efficiently, maintain strict confidentiality, function in a dynamic environment, handle stress and high levels of responsibility, and work well in a team environment.
  • Experience in corporate networks, specifically networks that span multiple subnets.
  • Experience in supporting clients on a corporate network; specifically support involving Switches, Subnets, Routers, VLAN's, DNS, Network Shares, Network Storage, File/Print services, Directory Services, Etc. is preferred.
  • Experience with personal computer and server hardware and able to perform troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Experience with Wireshark software is preferred.
  • Should be able to fulfil physical requirements (standing for long periods of time, working late, transport to and from several sites).
