Job Description: Clinical Dietician
To provide clinical nutrition support, care and information to patients and staff of Bay Area Hospital
Able to read, write legibly, and converse in the English language
Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics.
Completion of approved coordinated undergraduate program, dietetic internship or approved masters program with qualifying work experience
Registered dietitian or eligible for registration- must obtain registration within 1 year
Licensed as a Dietitian in the State of Oregon
Current Drivers License or obtain within 30 days
Must have or be able to obtain an Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager Certification, or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
Certified Diabetic Educator
Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist
Certified Nutrition Support Specialist
EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience in clinical or community nutrition preferred

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision
Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects
Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
May require periodic use of personal computer
