Job Summary and Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist -- PRN/Per Diem

We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!

Your tasks and responsibilities as Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to:

· Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

· Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure

· Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

· Communicate effectively with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.

Qualifications

· A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

· Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

· Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills

· Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
