Job Summary and Qualifications

Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are currently seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status). Interventional Radiology Technologist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures
  • Accurately perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines
  • Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality of radiographs to ensure quality standards have been met
  • Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent
  • Maintain effective communication with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice as well as with caregiver colleagues to include radiologists
  • Responsible for rotating call assignments

Qualifications

· Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technologist program from an AMA-approved school; Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

· Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

· Current ARRT credential

· Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience as a Radiology Technologist

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
