The Cardiovascular Technician II (CV Tech) establishes, implements, evaluates and revises as appropriate, the Plan of Care, based upon continuous assessment and interpretation of biological, psychosocial and environmental data in order to meet the identified patient care / significant other's needs.

  • Demonstrates accuracy in documentation of all treatments, medications, IV therapies, and blood products.
  • Utilizes a collaborative and interdisciplinary process to provide appropriate patient/family education, based on the plan of care and participates in a coordinated process of care, based on the patient's assessed needs, spanning the illness-to-wellness continuum.

Required Job Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology and/or RCIS certification and/or ARRT IR.
  • Two years' experience in licensed field and one year cardiac cath lab experience required.
  • State of Florida professional license in ARRT Interventional Radiology credential or RCIS registry.
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required upon hire.
