Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Technologist in the Women’s Center, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate women’s imaging and breast imaging team. We are proud to provide the “care like family” mission of the hospital.

In this role:

  • You will perform all general ultrasounds. Which include everything from abdominal ultrasounds, DVT studies, pelvic ultrasounds, obstetrics, small parts, and breast.
  • You will be responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
  • You must be proficient and confident assisting radiologists for biopsies.
  • You must have a working knowledge of the life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.
  • You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients’ needs.
  • You must feel comfortable working independently, as you will be the only sonographer on shift. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Ultrasonographer, or RDMS OB/GYN Specialty
  • Current Radiology license through the State of which you will be working.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

(EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region.
