Job Summary and Qualifications

RN Endo 

 The Circulator is responsible for performing the assessment and evaluation of the surgery patient. Ensures all pre-operative information is obtained, including but not limited to: consents, fire risk assessment, all components of H&P reviewed for compliance, site marking, etc. Prepares the surgical suite for appropriate procedure in accordance with physician preference cards.


What you will do in this role: 

  • Properly prepares patients for surgical procedures
  • Supports physician-led time out protocols.
  • Responsible for correct patient positioning.
  • Provides updates to appropriate individuals identified by the patient.
  • Monitors throughout procedure for prosper sterile technique.
  • Oversees quality assurance activities, including counts, and communicating any concerns to the physician.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding the transfer and condition of the patient.
  • Appropriate labeling and disposition of the specimens.
  • Complying with all Infection Prevention and Hand Hygiene recommendations.
  • Completes Occurrence Reports as needed.


    What qualifications you will need:  

     Education: Graduate of an Accredited RN Program.

    Licensure/Certification: License in the State of TN or Compact Licensure in state of residence; BLS required

    Experience: One year surgery experience preferred.

    Current BLS and ACLS Certifications 

     

     

    Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
