Your Main Mission:

  • Collaborate with Range Systems Engineers to analyze the maintenance costs, operational reliability, and lifecycle of current range systems

  • Devise comprehensive plans for both long-term and short-term enhancements range systems

  • Coordinate, conduct, and participate in collaboration meetings with the Government and other stakeholders

  • Evaluate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions 

  • Produce thorough documentation such as strategic road maps and trade studies to upgrade technology, where appropriate and approved, to enable new range capabilities, increase efficiency, improve mission reliability, and reduce range operation costs.

  • Conduct in-depth technical intra-company collaboration 

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of pertinent experience in the fields of space, range, or instrumentation technology. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated expertise in project/program management with a minimum of (5) years of experience, including proficiency in financial and budget management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with other contractors and Government civilians

  • Highly organized with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical program management experience

  • Master's degree in engineering or physical science

  • Doctorate in engineering or physical science

  • Prior experience as a Chief Engineer, Chief Technology Officer, or similar position on a major program

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
