Job Summary

  • The Patient Care Technician performs duties related to patient care under the direct guidance of a Registered Nurse. 
  • They are responsible for clerical duties as well.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Previous work in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) registry preferred but not required.
  • BLS completed within 6 months of start date is required and must be maintained.
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment is required.  Certification requirements to be maintained while working in department.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
  • 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
    • Every other weekend
    • Every other holiday
    • Occasional call time

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
