Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Logistics Management Specialist (Maintenance) to provide support at Rock Island, IL.

Responsibilities:

Conduct CMDP and OIP inspections of Installation Management Command (IMCOM) and HQ ASC subordinate organizations in accordance regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluate maintenance operations and be able to identify deficiencies, provide corrective actions, brief results to Senior Leaders, and perform on going assessment of individual unit capabilities and competencies
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with policies, plans, programs, procedures and objectives established in maintenance regulatory guidance.
  • Compile, review, and provide analysis to ASC G4 in support of the annual Department of the Army Award for Maintenance Excellence (AAME) Competition.
  • Utilize initiative, judgment, and innovative techniques in accomplishing assigned maintenance responsibilities.
  • Provides detailed guidance to maintenance management personnel at the Logistics Readiness Centers (LRC) involved with maintenance management operations.

Serve as HQ ASC liaison with personnel and activities involved with maintenance management at every level to resolve problems and provide advice to the ASC Maintenance Office or other supported AMC MSCs on matters requiring a decision.

  • Review and interpret data from Maintenance Management Information Systems to obtain required information to present reports and briefings.
  • Provide assistance with preparation of documents and briefings (to include SES level) for maintenance special studies.
  • Assess maintenance problems, trends, and requirements; advises ASC G-4 if supervisory/management decision/action is required.
  • Review and provide feedback on all Department of Defense (DOD), DA, AMC, and ASC maintenance regulations, policies, and directives concerning maintenance.
  • Stay abreast of logistics concepts, programs, doctrine, and significant changes in National and Installation Level logistics systems, which may alter the ASC maintenance concept of operation.
  • Advise AFSBn/LRCs of procedures or initiatives undertaken that do not comply with approved maintenance management policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Secret

Minimum of Senior Level experience with a Bachelor’s degree and 10-12 years of experience. This position requires expertise and work efforts that are focused on the analysis of the customer’s business goals, objectives, needs and the general business environment to solve logistical problems. Advanced knowledge and experience with Organizational Inspection Program Management Systems, Individual Staff Inspections (OIPs, ISI’s) and experience with the Command Maintenance Discipline Program Inspection. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, Must be able to compose and prepare responses for the Government's approval/signature. Must be fluent in Microsoft Office software and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint at the intermediate level. Must possess senior level experience to coach, teach and mentor personnel in the inspected functional areas. Must possess in-depth knowledge of Department of the Army logistics policies, principles, procedures, regulations, material integration, and maintenance readiness. Must be proficient in the use of GCSS-A, Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW). Must have experience with the following Government Regulations, AR 750-1 and DA Pam 750-1. This Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 60% of the time. Travel includes site visits/OIPs.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range: USD $75,778.56 - USD $78,043.68 /Yr.
