This is an exciting opportunity to help establish the Accounting Department in a new multi-cultural innovative industry. The IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)Technical Accounting Manager will help in all areas of the accounting department as listed below.
Roles and Responsibilities:
International Reporting Financial Reporting financial Statements Preparation including proper footnotes.
Research proper Accounting Treatment.
Establishing and documenting Accounting Policies & procedures.
Work with internal and external outside auditors.
Review legal documents for technical accounting determination.
Work with outside counsel to understand legal documents.
Analysis as needed.
Establishing and monitoring Internal Controls.
Attention to detail.
Development of internal financial statements for review by management and Board of Directors.
Development of financial statement supporting documentation.
Month end activities.
Other jobs and duties as needed.
Areas of Leadership and Technical abilities.
Knowledge and experience preparing IFRS Financial Statements.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications.
Knowledge of SAP beneficial.
Understanding of Taxes.
Good written and oral communication.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
Minimum 5 years of Accounting /Finance Experience.
Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and techniques.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills.
Preferred Job Requirements
Bilingual English / Korean.
Certified Public Accountant.
Master of Business Administration.
Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
Mainframe applications / ITM program understanding.
Ability and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements, and the drive to enact change in those instances.
