As the intraoperative imaging expert, IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging measurably improves patient outcomes through planning, product integration and clinical workflow to give surgeons access to diagnostic quality scans in hybrid operating room suites. We are currently searching for a Warehouse Associate to join our Operations Team. This role will be performed 1st shift, on site and is based in the Greater Minneapolis Twin Cities area at our Minnetonka offices.

The Warehouse Associate supervises the freight receipt, shipping and delivery of items for the company; prepares outgoing freight for shipment. Advise departments on the most advantageous methods of shipping and receiving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment

* Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates

* Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials

* Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications

* Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

* Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, or sorting bins

* Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter

* Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials

* Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes

* Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.

* Maintain clean work area

* Help maintain inventory control and accuracy. Pick required (via work orders) inventory and deliver material to departments

* Other projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

* Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits

* National and international shipping and receiving regulations

* Insurance regulations for shipping and receiving

* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology

* Some physical effort required in lifting less than pallet loads of goods

* Valid motor vehicle operator's permit for operation of forklift
