**Job Summary**
The Warehouse Associate is an essential part of TravelCenters of America distribution network. They are responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving and processing incoming stock/product, preparing, and completing orders for delivery or pickup, and performing inventory and quality control.

**A Day at Work in Our Distribution Centers**
Our 23 18-wheelers travel 2.9 million miles annually from these warehouses to bring supplies and goods to all TA, Petro and TA Express sites across the country. In total, the distribution centers include 286,000 square feet of space, 55 dock doors and over 75 team members, including 25 professional drivers. Each of those team members is an integral part in returning the customers visiting our locations back to the road, better than they came.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Assisting shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in products or materials.
* Preparing orders by processing requests, pulling orders, packing boxes, and transporting packages to the shipping area
* Responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, walkies, etc.
* Sorting and placing warehouse items, as directed by organizational standards

* Maintaining inventory controls
* Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations
**Qualifications**
* Previous knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus**.**
* Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
**Working Conditions**
* A comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
**Physical Requirements**
* Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 70 lbs.
