Overview:

As a Registered Nurse representative of Nursing Administration on the evening, night and weekend shifts, the Manager-Nursing Services ensures that quality outcomes including delivery of safe and appropriate patient care, development of staff, management of resources and communications are maintained. Provides oversight and direction to unit-based clinical supervisors on the respective shifts. Notifies the administrative representative about issues as appropriate and seeks administrative guidance as necessary. Supports the achievement of quality patient care by: supporting a common vision and goals congruent with the medical center and the clinical service line; incorporating standards of nursing practice; ensuring staff competencies and managing staffing resources and assignments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Missouri.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years clinical experience required.
  • Other: Past experiences must have demonstrated leadership ability, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to apply sound principles of supervision.
  • Preferred Education: BSN preferred.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous clinical supervisor or manager experience. Past Critical Care or ED experience preferred.
