The purpose of this position is:
* The Warehouse Associate picks, packs, and ships supplies and materials to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.
This position includes significant duties such as:
* Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator
* Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products
* Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
* Picks, packs, and ships materials and products
* Processes all packages for shipping; including affixing shipping labels, boxing products with dry ice per packaging regulations and processing returned merchandise
* Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed
* Maintains a safe, clean working environment and participates in quality improvement efforts
* Performs required administrative tasks; preparing all required shipping reports and correspondence
* Performs other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
* Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds occasionally; rarely lifts over 60 lbs. Use of noxious or hazardous chemicals with appropriate PPE.
* Protective clothing or equipment may occasionally be required including: gloves, freezer jacket or jumpsuit, protective eyewear, footwear.
* May perform work in a clean room environment.
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
* None. Fork truck certification provided.
