Let us tell you about the job
We are expanding our team and are seeking on-call Warehouse Associates to join our picking and packing team, assist with receiving and processing deliveries, and ensure the accurate and prompt recording of all goods.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for:
* Ensures all customer orders are picked accurately and on time
* Ensures all orders are securely placed, properly labeled and shrink-wrapped
* Receives and unloads incoming materials, verifying information on all pertinent documents
* Processes shipments as required
* Updates ERP system; ensures accurate and prompt recording of transactions
* Recommends improvements to the ERP system
* Prepares routine reports, and manages department files/records
* Initiates or assists in ensuring safety, cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
* Follows established policies, procedures, and standards in execution of all work assigned
* Performs miscellaneous duties that may be assigned from time to time
* Prepares waybills for outbound orders as required by couriers
* Helps maintain cleanliness and order of the warehouse
* Actively participates in warehouse maintenance, safety, and security protocols
* Performs other duties as assigned
Tell us about you...
To be successful in this role the individual must also have:
* High school diploma or its equivalent
* 1 year of experience working in a warehouse preferred but not required.
* Physically fit; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs or 25 kg
* Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during long shifts
* Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move stuff around
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
