Job Description

Lead Case Manager

As a Lead Case Manager with Cherokee Federal, you will play a crucial role in supervising and managing a team of case managers and support staff responsible for the direct management of individual refugee cases. You will ensure the timely delivery of core services, consistent documentation, and coordinate with various service providers to meet the needs of refugee families. This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, counseling, or related fields. Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Lead Case Manager: $66,988.80
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervising and managing case management contract support staff.
  • Direct management of individual refugee cases, including minor children.
  • Coordinating initial services for arriving refugees and developing individual service plans.
  • Collaborating with local service providers to ensure required services are delivered to refugees.
  • Ensuring language and cultural competency, child welfare, mental health, and social services support.
  • Auditing and analyzing data to ensure accuracy.
  • Providing training to case managers and support staff.
  • Serving as a member of the quality assurance team.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Lead Case Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related fields, or bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish may be required.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult circumstances and emergencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of case management services and community resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Visio.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and federal background check is mandatory.
  • Ability to deploy to all sites as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
