POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Contractor shall provide to the Government telecommunication mechanic support for the Technical Service Desk, which includes coordinating support on new system installations throughout all the regions that the MegaCenters service. Support shall also include, MegaCenter alarm panel programming, diagnostics and continuously ensuring all alarm panels are communicating with the MegaCenter receiver(s) using the correct reporting formats. In addition to the requirements, the Contractor shall provide the Government support that ensures uniformity in the programming parameters throughout the regional inventory as recognized.

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

 

Hourly Rate $31.27

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Building, testing, and maintaining alarms accounts in the alarm system program and the monitoring software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and report deficiencies with alarm systems.
  • Provide instruction on proper operation of alarm and access control systems to end users as required.
  • Monitor panels reporting via phone, internet, and cell to ensure consistent communication and proper receiver functionality.
  • Initiate action on requests from agencies for any updates to the alarm program.
  • Support the onsite technicians by assisting in troubleshooting and by reading alarm panel information via the event log in order to eliminate unnecessary service calls.
  • Submit and follow up on service tickets generated by user and agency officials.
  • Coordinate work efforts assigned; to include the data entry, data analyst, onsite technicians, system administrators, network engineers, telecommunications specialists, and telecommunication mechanics requirements. 
  • Engineer and implement solutions and best practices for the TSD to improve customer service, accuracy, and efficiency using the available software and systems.
  • Prepares and maintains records on work performed and materials used.
  • Maintain alarm tracking databases, agency call lists, and panel folders.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Candidates will need to undergo a background check
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience and knowledge of Bosch/Honeywell/DMP panels and programming software
  • Experience with alarm automation software (Bold-Stages)
  • Experience with installing or programming intrusion detection, fire, card access, CCTV, and elevator relay systems
  • Excellent leadership and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Technical degree preferred but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Business work hours are Monday through Friday, actual shifts during the day to be determined.
  • Federal holidays observed.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
