Position InformationUnder the direction of the Metro Parks Tacoma Sales Supervisor, the Sales Administrative Support position is responsible for supporting the sales process at Metro Parks Tacoma. This position will perform administrative and customer service tasks with facility rentals, permits, and memberships.In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.Observe applicable safety requirements, use safety equipment provided, implement appropriate safety practices at all times and report immediately any unsafe working conditions or hazards. Essential Duties Assist with all customer service and sales communication via phone, email, and in-person conversations.Provide customer service, receive and resolve complaints, respond to requests, and route inquiries as appropriate. Provide rental operational support at parks facilities including room preparation, welcoming guests, and other basic tasks. Perform a wide variety of office support for Sales Team and community centers. Perform facility tours for private rental prospects. Adapt as necessary to work with people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.Must be customer service driven with a positive and cheerful attitude.Must be able to communicate effectively with the general public and fellow staff.Good oral and written communication skills required.Must have basic computer skills.Desire to pursue a career in events, hospitality, or customer service field.Must be able to perform a variety of responsible clerical duties. Additional Information HOURS:Approx. 15-20 hours per week.
