Job DescriptionAs an Engineering Sales Intern, you will be an integral part of the Mitsubishi sales team, focusing on technical sales of robotic systems and automation components. Responsibilities include conducting outbound calls to potential clients to set up appointments around the Midwest and Central region. Once face to face appointments are scheduled, the intern will travel with a Mitsubishi sales professional to make sales calls and learn/participate in the automation and automated robotic cell sales cycle. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required:Pursuing an engineering degree (preferably in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, or robotics engineering)Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to clientsAbility to understand and present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.Proficiency in basic sales techniques and an eagerness to learn about technical sales processesCapability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a dynamic sales environmentPreferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Previous experience in sales, customer service, or engineering-related rolesFamiliarity with robotic systems or automation technologiesDemonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyUnderstanding of CRM software or sales tools is a plusEagerness to learn and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our sales approachPerform other duties as assigned.Travel RequirementsTravel primarily within territory: MidwestRequired SkillsProduct knowledge/application experience in CNC, PLC, VFD, OIT, Servo/Motion products required.Ability to excel within a developmental/Top-Down, solution selling modelAbility to sell both direct accounts and through a distributors; understanding of distributor modelSolid leadership skillsSolid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and proposal writing.Organization skills to manage schedule and travel in territoryComputer proficiency - knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Beneficial Education, Skills and ExperienceSales experience with some or all of the following applications is a plus:o PLC's, HMI's, Industrial PC's, Software, and interfaceso Motion Control (Servo)o VFD (Inverters)To attract and retain enthusiastic and dedicated professionals, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including 401K matching.
