Summary:

The industrial athletic trainer becomes involved in strategic planning and metrics, reporting, ergonomics, and wellness initiatives which also positively impacts the overall safety of the industrial athlete.

It is a challenging and rewarding career path for the athletic trainer.

 

Develops and manages programs designed to keep employees working at full capacity, improving company productivity and helping to reduce health care and insurance costs. Provides quality care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of assessment, planning, implementation and instruction. Carries out all procedures in accordance with established state and national standards, policies, protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in a health-related field from an accredited program is required (Athletic Training preferred).

Master's Degree in Athletic Training is preferred.

 

Experience

1 year of experience in athletic training is preferred.

 

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Licensed Athletic Trainer.

Illinois: required within 6 months of hire; Wisconsin: required upon hire.

Certified BLS or completion in the first 60 days of employment is required.

Certified Athletic Trainer is required.

Certification as a breathe DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.

Certification as an urine DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.
