Yaskawa America, Inc.'s Motion Control Division is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Southwest.With responsibilities for Pre- and Post-Sales activities in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Kansas and Nebraska, this is an opportunity to dedicate your business acumen and Sales know-how and be part of a successful team.This position is responsible for growing and supporting a broad range of Yaskawa motion control customers across multiple industries and geographies.Detailed responsibilities include:Execute on industry and segment specific attack plans as part of a dynamic sales and engineering team.Support the Yaskawa Distribution Channel as a key component of the regional sales strategy.Work with Direct Customers in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.Provide a high level of technology and application knowledge of motion and machine control systems in a professional and competent manner.Succeed in the consultative selling process at all levels of the customer's organization.Manage his/her geographic territory to achieve Yaskawa's strategic and financial goals.Description of Duties:Develop and execute sales plans to achieve Yaskawa growth goals for the territory.Create demand for Yaskawa Motion products for end user, system integrator, and OEM customers.Negotiate project pricing with the assistance of Sales Management.Structure and carry out regular sales calls with a variety of customers and channel partners.Manage relationships on behalf of Yaskawa for the territory.Network with Trade Associations and Peers in complimentary sales organizations.Generate and follow up on sales leads.Present information on new/existing Yaskawa products.Demonstrate Yaskawa product to customers on site.Understand, Meet, and Exceed Customer Expectations.Perform other duties as needed.Qualifications:BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of practical sales experience.Minimum of 5 years of field experience involving sales of Yaskawa or competitive product lines.Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in sales of related automation products.Strong professional sales abilities with an understanding of the US factory automation market.Strong knowledge of competitors' products, channels and strategies. Strong knowledge of Yaskawa's products, channels and strategies is a plus.Thorough understanding of solution selling, consultative sales methodology, and interpersonal relationships.Understanding of supporting and managing various sales channels and networks such as distributors, value added resellers, integrators, representatives and other channel outlets.Ability to interface closely with Yaskawa Application Engineering and Marketing groups to provide accurate field data, manage multiple proposals, and meet minimum deadlines required.Reside in the Southwest region, preferably within the Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area.Interface directly with customers in all stages of proposal-related work from conception to receipt of purchase order.
