Job OverviewSales Engineer - Industrial OE - MN/NDThe Sales Engineer position is responsible for growing sales and achieving the business plan for the Industrial business unit within Minnesota and North Dakota. Success will result from maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers, prospecting for new customers, and executing established sales strategies with passion and perseverance. Your Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify markets and product opportunities for the promotion of all Schaeffler's INA, Barden, & FAG brands of bearings to Industrial OE customers, with the goal of expanding the end user base and increasing business in target industriesUsing a consultative approach identify, qualify, develop, deliver, and expand sales within target customer baseObtain market information where application engineered bearing solutions are requiredMaintain and improve customer relations through cooperation with internal account representativesPrepare accurate reports/presentations for senior leadership and sales meetings, monitor account activity, and manage projects and customer relationshipsDevelop and deliver customer, end user, and internal product training in the region Your QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related, with strong mechanical aptitude2 years sales and business development experience with Industrial OE customers selling bearings or power transmission productsPrevious experience with bearings preferred, but not requiredAbility to influence others' decision making and resolve conflict through a manner that benefits all partiesStrong business acumen, results drivenCRM software and systems aptitude (SalesForce experience a plus)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHave an intrinsic drive for results, relationships building aptitude, ability to influence at leadership level, strong ethics, and high agility in a complex organizationAvailability for overnight travel approximately 40% of the time
