Warehouse Material Handler (Monday - Friday, all shifts)
We are hiring Warehouse Material Handlers at our Madison, West Allis and Kimberly locations on first or second shift. We are considering full-time or part-time opportunities. As a Material Handler, you will be primarily responsible for pulling product for customer orders using an RF scanning gun. You will also prepare shipments and load trucks using good use of space and ensuring safety at all times. Depending on the branch location, you may be a backup driver as needed.
**What you'll do**
Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries using an RF scanner
Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.
Load trucks for daily and special deliveries
Use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hand tools,
Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
May operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery
Act as backup support for route drivers on an as-needed basisAssist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucks
Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
Description Requirements **What we're looking for**
Experience working in a fast-paced, distribution or warehouse environment preferred, but not required
High attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy
Ability to follow direction and safe operating procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift without assistance (weight varies based on product)
Work at heights of 20 ft. on a regular basis
Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
Willing to work on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of time
A valid drivers license and a good driving record per company policy for backup driving
Willing to work overtime as needed
