Position title: Senior Sales Engineer/Pre-Sales Consultant

Locations: Chicago, New York city, Bay area California, DC/MD/VA, Ohio

THIS IS A VIRTUAL OFFICE-BASED POSITION

Position description:

The candidate for this role will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working closely with the sales team as a technical adviser and product advocate. You will articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, as well as ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. We are seeking a self-motivated candidate that can be effective in a fast-paced environment and one who can travel as needed in your region (limited at present due to COVID).

Position responsibilities:

* Manage and coordinate the technical requirements in the sales process

* Present and drive technical demonstrations of the companys solution in a face to face meetings, conventions, and web sessions

* Enable and work with multiple technical users from multiple channels/partners

* Convey customer requirements to the product management teams

* Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI/RFPs. Technical writing experience a big plus

* Strong communication and presentation skills and familiarity working with channel partners.

* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

* A background in the software security industry including penetration testing and code review is highly preferred

Required skills:

* 5+ years of customer facing experience(pre-sales, consulting, professional services, etc..) with some prior software engineering experience at some point in the past with security software experience and familiarity with DevSecOps/ code vulnerabilities/review/development/application security/testing

* Knowledge of the SDLC phases, with experience with development, security threats and security testing and technologies.

* Familiar with at multiple programming languages and/or scripting languages.

* Ability to be proactive and utilize technical problem-solving expertise.

* Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences and ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and professional manner.

* Ability to succeed and in a fast-paced environment and to work both self independently and as a member of a team to achieve goals

* Strong technical aptitude and to be able to pick up technical concepts rapidly is required
