**Job Description Summary**

Independently implements Lamb Weston corporate sanitation policies and procedures within facility Sanitation Department. Supports the implementation of relevant cleaning, sanitation, and Environmental Monitoring sanitary control measures. Daily execution of activities related to cleaning and sanitation including reviewing, monitoring, and assessing the integrity of facility sanitation program. Supervises and offers direction to sanitation employees. Responsible for sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment, and facilities. Develops and maintains plant sanitation programs and procedures. Collaborates with engineers, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure a clean and sterile facility. Assures compliance with regulatory agencies regarding sanitation requirements and the use of cleaning and exterminating agents. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented work force to improve business results and drive continuous improvement.**Job Description**

* Plan, organize, execute, train, and monitor plant sanitation crew, processes, and methods

* Plan and execute daily, weekly, and periodic plant wide cleaning and sanitation activity

* Develop and maintains the plant Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) per LWFP requirements, the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP), and Sanitation Effectiveness Program

* Drive continuous improvement for EMPC and Sanitation Effectiveness results

* Work with management and corporate sanitation to continuously improve sanitation processes and results

* Conduct periodic sanitation efficacy inspections and audits, tracking progress of corrective actions

* Trains sanitation team in titration, chemical awareness, proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and chemical handling procedures.

* Works closely with chemical vendor and area representative to continuously monitor, improve and implement sanitation activities and chemical efficacy

* Acknowledges and recommends appropriate chemistry for all systems within the facility, in conjunction with chemical vendor and corporate sanitation.

* Verifies and updates chemical inventory, PPE supplies, sanitation team tools and sanitation equipment

* Responsible for reporting any sanitation issues to Food Protection and/or Facility management

* Assists in management of Lamb Westons Food Safety program through execution of facility sanitation

* Schedules, organizes and conducts onsite sanitation activities, new process line sanitation activities, recognizing food safety risks associated with each line and sanitation process.

* Oversees all ACS, CIP and COP programs, processes and systems within the facility

* Reviews third party audit information, documents review and follows up on sanitation corrective actions.

* Contributes to cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of sanitation initiatives and process improvement of Lamb Weston facilities and processing equipment

* Designs and updates department processes and procedures. Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures.

* Provides technical and decision-making support, data in managing situations and issues relative to sanitation and/or environmental pathogen control as necessary.

* Assists quality and food protection departments in identifying sanitation and cleaning objectives.

* Maintains the facility Sanitation SharePoint site.

* Attends all Corporate Sanitation Department meetings and represents facility sanitary, cleaning and environmental pathogen improvement projects

**Basic & Preferred Qualifications**

* B.S. in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field preferred. Work experience may substitute for education.

* Chemical knowledge and ability to read SDS, chemical labels and concentration charts

* HAZCOM training is required or must be obtained within 30 days of position start

* Minimum 3 years food industry experience required. 2 years of food processing sanitation experience preferred.

* Knowledge and understanding of food safety and sanitation principals, HACCP, pest control, GMPs, and allergen management principals.

* Familiar with CIP (Clean-in-Place), ACS (Assisted Cleaning System), COP, manual and chemical applications.

* Knowledge and experience with microbiological sampling and procedures

* Advanced report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

* Ability to multi-task and work quickly while maintaining accuracy.

* Excellent computer skills using programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and SharePoint.
