Warehouse Material Handling Clerk

Tracking Code 5000830912212021 Job Description Warehouse material handling clerk will be responsible for safely performing activities involving inventorying Goods Received, Invoice Receipts, and tracking parts, tools, and other equipment/materials. Including receiving shipments, opening packages, inspecting materials, stocking and preparing materials to be returned. Will coordinate and assist with all receiving functions and training. Must have the ability to learn Railcar, Locomotive and General railroad related materials with related identification skills; possess solid understanding of warehouse operations and parts picking process/ delivery while working in-conjunction with SAP to maintain accurate inventory accountability and have proficient Microsoft Office Applications capabilities.

****Accountabilities****

* Reviews Car Shop Bills for accuracy

* Process inventory consumption in SAP

* Process transfer from Plant to Plant in SAP using MIGO

* Reviews Errors with appropriate staff and managers

* Walks Car Shop with Manger to Verify material location accuracy

* Reviews AAR Job Codes with Manager on Duty to ensure accuracy.

* Exemplifies KCS/KCSM Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

****Ideal Candidate Qualifications:****

**Required**

* 18 years of age or older.

* High School diploma or GED required

* Must possess a valid state-issued drivers license

* Able to work in a team environment, and possess verbal and written communication skills.

* Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling.

* Able to work in conditions that include loud noise and fumes, work on and around heavy and moving machinery, bend, lift, work, walk, stand and sit in confined spaces for extended periods of time and use hand and power tools.

* Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner.

****Preferred****

* 3 years railroad experience related to parts associated with locomotives and rail cars and knowledge to sort, stack, house and handle various materials

* Demonstrated ability Operating a forklift

* Previous warehouse experience is preferred

* Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

* Warehouse experience

* SAP experience

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

****Working Conditions****

* This position has a regular full-time schedule with a normal work week of Friday through Tuesday and core hours of 9am to 5pm.
