Power Systems Sales Engineer Position Summary:Prime Power Services is the Southeast's #1 provider of Emergency Power System Services. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, persuasive, focused, and ambitious Power Systems Sales Engineer to join our team.The Power Systems Sales Engineer will be responsible for the technical aspects emergency power generation sales cycle pertaining to our customer's needs with a focus on supporting our outside Territory Sales Managers in Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Northern Florida.Responsibilities:Acquire a strong technical knowledge of generator understanding in alignment with the sales objectives of Prime Powers base business and engineering capabilities.Apply the company's service solutions to deliver an effective solution to our customers.Winning new customers and driving innovation to differentiate our service solutions.Consult directly with customers to explain the technical and practical aspects of Prime Power Services and capabilities. Establish close working relationships with end-users, become their key advisor, and assist them with solving problems with practical solutions and industry-leading support.Identify unmet requirements, uncover hidden opportunities, present, and implement practical, workable solutions.Participate in managing and developing customer and partner relationships for long-term growth, new business discovery, and long-term success. Conduct detailed system review and design Prime Power Service Solutions and equipment upgrades to resolve and mitigate performance issues.Functionally describe proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences Provide pre-sales technical support on product queries from new and existing customers and channel partners Articulate product & solution capabilities and interoperability with customer's existing infrastructure in line with customer organization's overall goals.Participate in gathering RFP proposals data and formulate responses to RFP's. Enhances customer relationships by demonstrating a strong understanding of the customer's business and long-term objectives regarding emergency power.Assist in identifying new market opportunities and trends for the mission-critical market segments including the healthcare, commercial, and data center environment.Skills & AbilitiesMust be technically competent and sales proficientAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong interpersonal, consultative, listening, and discovery skillsProven record of successful technical sales experienceStrong communications skills both written and oralExcellent presentation and demonstration skillsExperience in creating targeted and persuasive presentationsAbility to understand and uncover the customer's business challengesUnderstand and report on the competitive environmentIntrinsically motivated to assume responsibility for the resolution of issuesUnderstand marketing messages and strategic positioningExperience and ability in selling high-value propositions Education & QualificationsFour-year Electrical/Mechanical degree preferred, Two-Year Technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience requiredTwo years of sales or direct customer support engagement experience required,Emergency Power generation application and installation knowledge required.
