Description

Leidos Dynetics is seeking a talented Thermal-fluid Analyst/Engineer. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

The selected candidate will serve as a lead analyst/engineer, performing detailed thermal/fluid thermal analysis and thermal control system design during the detailed design and testing of missile and space systems. Candidate must understand analytical methods, development and utilization of thermal and fluid simulations, and application of analysis tools to produce models and perform analyses for a variety of aerospace-related products. The individual will interface with system design leads and other subsystem lead analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams. The individual will support test data analysis and completion of verification/ validation documents and reports. The individual will also support integrated product assembly, integration, and test activities as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have at least five (5) years of direct experience performing thermal and fluid analysis, and must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Candidates with advanced degree(s) in engineering or a related academic field and with additional experience are preferred.

Candidate is required to have proven working knowledge of typical fluid analysis software, examples of which are Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, GFSSP, COMSOL, STAR CCM+, and SINDA/FLUINT.

Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.  The ideal candidate has strong organization and communication (verbal and written) skills and is self-motivated. Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have experience in a lead position, maintaining an area of responsibility over personnel and/or technical aspects of project execution. Experience with aerospace component and/or subsystem testing, including an understanding of data systems, instrumentation, and test data analysis is a plus.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
