**Description**

The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for completing a variety of distribution functions including, but not limited to, receiving and stocking inbound receipts, picking/packing customer orders, picking/shipping transfers, scheduling freight shipments, replenishment of forward pick locations, returns, and inventory control functions.

Key Responsibilities

* Pick, pack and ship daily customer orders.

* Unload trucks, verify purchase orders and receive inventory into system.

* Support inventory control processes by participating in daily cycle counting.

* Utilize internal systems to identify order status, bin locations or determine inventory quantities.

* Schedule carrier pickups for freight LTL orders.

* Monitor production order needs and build internal kits, as required.

* Receive and sort field returned parts accordingly.

* Monitor warehouse aisles and shelves ensuring they are clean and free of debris.

* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and lift trucks to stock, replenish and pick product.

* Support other ops logistics and warehouse tasks, as assigned.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED or 2+ years of related operational experience (shipping/receiving and tracking inventory movement within internal and external customers) in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence, high level of accuracy and attention to detail required.

* Strong interpersonal communication skills in writing, over the phone and in-person.

* Ability to work with all customers in a positive and courteous manner at all times.

* Good problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate situations and make sound business decisions while working under tight deadlines and effectively prioritize workload so that the right things get done at the right time.

* Must be able to operate a forklift.

* Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access and Lotus Notes.

Physical Requirements

Warehouse work involves regularly positioning oneself (e.g., standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, pushing and pulling) to frequently handle or move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 70lbs. Frequently uses hands to sort and package material. Regularly ascends and descends stairs and step stairs (including carrying up to 50lbs while ascending the stairs). Communicates or exchanges information in person or electronically with co-workers and other individuals.
