Our Opening and Your Responsibilities A. Knowledge and Business Management Functions

1. Achieve quarterly and annual sales and price realization target goals by working with customers via phone and email (outbound/inbound) using well-developed professional selling skills, generating and closing a high number of quality opportunities/quotes.

2. Follow-through on all leads within 1 day.

3. Position is 90% Remote. Telesales rep will travel into territory from time to time and travel for internal meetings.

4. Accurate management and recording of data generated from these efforts online, in SAP CRM, Outlook or spreadsheets as appropriate.

5. Develop general and technical knowledge regarding all of RAININs product lines and service offerings.

6. Develop specific knowledge of customer applications that will enable you to better understand the needs of the customers.

7. Gain in-depth knowledge of all internal operations related to pipette, tip and service sales and marketing, including but not limited to SAP CRM and Pipette Service Database.

B. Analytical and Support Functions

1. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on internal database, company initiatives and external data information like business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

2. Works with the rest of the Telesales team to share best practices.

3. Participates in group learning sessions and group meetings with both Inside and Outside sales teams as appropriate. 4. Participate in weekly staff meetings to provide updates about business issues that require a proactive approach or trends that suggest alternate sales offers or approaches.

5. Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our SAP CRM or Sales Logix databases.

6. Work to assure data integrity by validating and correcting information housed within internal sales and service databases at every practical opportunity by reviewing and making available accurate key contact information as appropriate. TEAMWORK/CROSS-FUNCTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS - Ability to work effectively with Sales and Service Support teams, in a highly variable and often stressful environment is required. Must work collaboratively and cooperatively within the department along with other teams to meet operational and sales target goals. Ability to work effectively and efficiently, in a coordinated effort with Company personnel is necessary. Willingness and motivation to learn and acquaint oneself with many areas of RAININs operation which may directly or indirectly impact the ability or effectiveness of the Telesales Rep position.

DECISION MAKING - The ability to make confident and reasoned decisions regarding processes that affect everyday work, and the ability to understand when to involve Management or other departments is required. Decision making authority includes, but is not restricted to, when and how to involve other departments and teams to ensure that exceptional support is being provided to internal and external customers at all times; and when and to whom to escalate issues or opportunities that may continue to surface.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or an Associates degree with two to three years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience is required. Two years of experience in the Life Science market or related business area as well as one year of experience in a research lab is also required.
