Job OverviewSummary/ObjectiveThe Sales Assistant supports Senior Sales staff in selling new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.Essential FunctionsProvide support to Senior Sales Associate in finding specific vehicles, responding to customers, conducting the sales process, and Follow-up with customers after vehicle purchase.Approaches, greets, and offers assistance to customers who enter the dealership showroom or sales lotAssists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responsesWrites complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policiesSupports follow-up system that encourages repeat business and contributes to customer satisfactionConducts business in an ethical and professional mannerDescribes optional equipment available for customer purchase and fully explains product performance, application, and benefits to prospectsFollows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test driveFollows dealership sales processes as directed by Sales Management.Demonstrates new vehicles and offers test drives to all prospectsExhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfactionKeeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customersPrepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrivalDelivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that each customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperworkIntroduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service departmentSchedules first service appointmentFollows up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes," and special requests to be sure all customer expectations are metMaintains a professional business appearanceKnows and understands the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company's businessGreets customers promptly and is polite and friendlyConsistently follows the outlined sales processConducts telephone transactions courteously and promptlyUtilizes dealership sales control (confirm CRM/DSM) systemDirects customers to product information resources, including those available on the InternetAttends product and sales training courses as determined by sales management and manufacturerAdheres to all Safeguarding, Red Flag, and 8300 procedures and policiesExhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
