Security Installer - Military veterans preferred

What you will do

• Capable of installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines.

• Can use electronic test equipment to solve complicated problems during installation.

• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.

• Securely configure IP addresses, subnet masks and gateways on customer’s network.

• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.

• Set up virtual LAN’s to separate traffic into smaller, more manageable units.

• Provide desktop support for Customer and JCI which involves installation and configuration of software and hardware, remote monitoring and programming of various systems and the maintenance and solve of both software and hardware.

• Configure servers and workstations and domain credentials, IP address and remote desktop.

• Performs system checks for proper operation.

• Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.

• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details.

• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining coordinated working relationships.

• Ability to analyze information.

• Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs.

• Completes and submits all necessary paperwork related to job assignments.

• Capable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment.

• Conduct End- User training

• Ability to isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable,

• This position will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

What we look for

Required

• Significant background (min 5 year experience) in Digital & Analog Camera Systems

• Significant background (min 5 year experience) in Access Control Systems and Burglar Alarm Systems

• Must have experience with Access Control and Burglar

• Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems

• Experience with IP addressable security devices (min 2 years)

• Must be computer literate to include advanced TCP/IP networking skills.

• Must be able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record

• Is proficient with all aspects and operation of ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems.

• Associate degree or 2-year technical school program graduate is highly preferred. An apprenticeship or industry work experience could be substituted for educational requirements.

• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems

• Must have programming experience

Proficiencies in the following is REQUIRED:

C-Cure, Honeywell, ADT Access Control Software, Access Control Systems, Camera Systems, Card Access Systems, Intruder Alarms and Surveillance Systems

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $32-42+ (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
