**Johnstone Supply is classified as an essential business. Our regular starting pay rate for Material Handler I positions is $15.00 per hour; however, we have increased our pay by $2.00 per hour through May 1, 2021.**

Our Jacksonville facility, approximately 120,000 square feet, is a fast paced operation that provides high level quality service to our Southeast membership base. We are currently seeking qualified Material Handler I candidates for our Shipping Department to fill and ship orders to Johnstone stores by picking products from shelves or bins, wrapping and packing orders, and completing shipping paperwork. Core hours for this position are 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
**Position Responsibilities:**
* Fills store orders by picking orders according to section number, packing items into cartons and stacking them in a manner that minimizes shipping damage, entering items into scan gun, and completing necessary paperwork.
* Documents the shipment of hazardous materials by labeling cartons correctly and completing necessary paperwork.
* Prepares orders for shipment by: preparing trucks for shipments; palletizing and wrapping orders; loading pallets and pieces into trucks; placing packing list in last skid; and completing necessary paperwork.
* Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards and follows department standard operating procedures.
* Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, and maintaining a clean work area by breaking down cardboard, picking up loose trash or boards, and keeping carts clean.

**Position Requirements:**
* A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* 1 to 3 months previous Material Handler/Warehouse experience highly preferred.
* Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
* Handheld RF Scanner experience a plus.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to drive or learn to drive an electric pallet jack.
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work.
* Ability to attend to details.
* Ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
* Ability to complete routine paperwork.
* Desire to support and meet the needs of customers, other employees, and the Cooperative as a whole.
