Warehouse Material Handler
W&R Construction Job Type Full-time Description We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Material Handler to join our growing team. As a Warehouse Material Handler you will be responsible for stocking and pulling inventory along with loading and unloading material.
* Receive incoming merchandise and store in the appropriate location
* Prepare outgoing merchandise for delivery or shipping daily
* Loading and unloading materials
* Assist in inventory control by continuous tracking and inventory updates
* Deliveries and pick up material as needed
* Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
* Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
* Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
* Maintain warehouse organization and keep warehouse clean and orderly
* Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of warehouse distribution / inventory control experience
Forklift Certification a plus
Deadline and detail-oriented in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience with using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors & co-workers
Must be flexible in hours and days worked
Must be eligible to work in the US and have a valid drivers license
Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
