**Job Description**

**Job Summary**

Supports all aspects of Inventory Control (i.e., Shipping, Receiving, and Material Storage & Control), product sterilization, and cycle count operations. This position works closely with Accounting, Planning, Manufacturing, and Purchasing. Maintains control over all Min/Max Re-order Point items and submits purchase requirements to Buyer in support of manufacturing operations. Must be certified in Hazardous Materials and Waste Transportation (SYK will sponsor certification).

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

* Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety, product quality and compliance with the Stryker, Quality Manual, and its governing regulations.

* Receiving of production and non-production deliveries in compliance with operational procedures.

* Shipping of finished goods and miscellaneous items in compliance with operational procedures.

* Carry out continuous improvement indicatives as designated in compliance with operational procedures.

* Perform shipping request form for shipping out items via FedEx software system.

* Preparation and control of shipments to the sterilization facilities.

* Maintain control and update of all Min/Max Reorder Point items. Submit purchase requirements in a timely manner to meet production requirements.

* Perform excess and obsolete material analysis as necessary.

* Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills while executing assigned responsibilities.

* Maintain material availability to the production area in compliance with operational procedures.

* Interfacing with Buying/Planning and Receiving Inspection to facilitate the flow of materials. Expedite material requirements as necessary to meet production needs.

* Support general shipping, receiving, and material movement needs for all non-production functional areas.

* Representative for HMT-S32 Hazardous Materials and Waste Transportation requirements.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Ability to lift up to 75lbs and lift 50 lbs. routinely.

* Ability to travel long distance on occasion (<5%). Some short-distance travel may be required to support another building within the SLC area (<10-15%).

* Ability to perform tasks while standing/moving for long periods.

* Ability to operate a pallet jack with a full load and/or other warehouse related tools.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* High School Diploma/GED

* Minimum 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.

* Hazardous Materials and Waste Transportation Certified a plus (not required).

* Some college and/or APICS classes a plus (not required).

**Qualifications/Work Experience Required**

* Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions and policies in English

* Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends.

* Knowledge and understanding of Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping activities.

* Knowledge and understanding of Material Control software, MS Office, Outlook, etc.

* Self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

* Ability to work under minimal supervision.

* Basic skills Ability to read and follow blueprints, basic reading, and math skills.

* Must have good communication skills, a customer service orientation, self-motivated, very organized, enthusiastic, detail oriented, resourceful, willing and able to work long hours (including overtime as required), and possess a sense of urgency.
