Technician II, Sanitation - Military veterans preferred

Overview:

The principal accountability of the position will be to maintain the cleanliness of the More Than Gourmet facility. This includes daily cleaning activities, specialized cleaning activities, handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, storing chemicals, managing routine chemical accidents. This position will also support other production activities as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
• Reliable, dependable, flexible with a team player orientation
• Ability to communicate and read labels in English
• Some cleaning experience required
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handling heavy objects
• Must be willing to obtain certifications if needed
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to be effective

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

? Frequent work in a hot and humid production environment

? Occasional work required outside in various temperatures

? This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines

? Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members

? All safety procedures in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

? Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day.

? Ability to occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds

? Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling

? Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment

? Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other powered equipment and tools

? Must be able to wear all PPE that is required

Responsibilities:

• Daily facility cleaning duties including a rotation of specialized cleaning or sanitation processes
• Use pressure washer for cleaning
• Use floor scrubber for cleaning
• Operating a forklift
• Reading chemical labels or Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals used for cleaning
• Completing and creating forms
• Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
• Promote health and safety in the workplace
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe working environment in all storage areas
• Adhere to all safety standards
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Support all company initiatives and goals as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
