Echo/ Vascular Technician - Diagnostic Imaging-PRN

 HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is a 423-bed acute care hospital that has been serving the north Houston community for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of medical services including cardiology, maternity care, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, bariatrics and neurology. 

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

What you will do in this role:
  • Performs all procedures in the Vascular Lab, i.e., Echo's Carotid, venous and arterial studies.
  • Manages all assigned supplies and equipment in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Maintains CPR certification.
  • Independently assists the physician with all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Completes all appropriate paper work for physician interpretation.
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, etc.
  • Assures that patient's billing is timely and accurate.
  • Assists as needed in other related departments such as EKG.
  • Assists in Quality Assessment and Improvement activities.
  • Assists in keeping ultrasound equipment and viewing station clean.
  • Assures all equipment is functioning properly and reports malfunctions.
  • Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in the Code of Conduct.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Prefer one year experience as a technologist in a Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Completion of a Cardiovascular Tech Program or equivalent experience.
