As a Constructive Systems Administrator- J Multi-Functional Simulations Analyst performing a variety of operational, analytical, planning, and related tasks with duties concentrated in the areas of constructive and virtual simulations support for combat and combat support training. Our work depends on constructive Systems, administrator joining our team to Integrate Mission Training Complex (MTC) Army constructive simulations, Games for Training (GFT), Virtual systems, and fielded MCIS systems providing relevant formation centric training support focused on the company/battalion/brigade level training. Occasionally adapt for larger collective training events.

HOW AN CONSTRUCTIVE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Working as a Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)/ Multi-Resolution Federations (MRF) simulation operator.
  • Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, create, and/ or modify computer documentation related to Linux based simulation systems, to include MS Windows 10, MS Windows Servers, VMWare and Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation Server/ Bridges for training exercises.
  • Applicant should be familiar with Division and Brigade Operations, to include Maneuver, Field Artillery Fires and Mission Command for Exercise Execution.
  • Responsible for applying system updates and quarterly patches/ IAVAs. Analyze, test, and/ or modify configurations and software programs in order to provide pertinent solutions to system users, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
  • Responsible for planning, development, and execution of simulation training activities to include scheduling, development of databases, exercise scenarios, user account management, workstation player/ controller training, exercise execution and participation in After Action Reviews.
  • Implement the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP/Risk Management Framework-DIACAP/ RMF), the standard process under which all Department of Defense (DoD) information Systems achieve and maintain their Authority To Operate (ATO).
  • Become an integral part of a small highly motivated technical competent GDIT team.
  • Being a team player is essential for success.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Knowledgeable on: JLCCTC systems and functions; MPE and military network integration/ coordination; Microsoft Office Applications. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Education: BS/BA in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
  • Experience: Desire three (3) to five (5) plus years of military experience at the tactical/operational level.
  • Security Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret to start and able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
  • Required Technical Skills: Basic understanding of relevant technology or subject matter on any of the following Constructive/Virtual systems: WARSIM, JCATS, DxTRS, VBS3, MUSE. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter on any of the following Mission Command Information Systems: CPCE, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, JCR/JBC-P, DSCG-A, GCCS-A. Knowledgeable and understanding on JLCCTC functionality and network integration/coordination.
  • Required Skills: Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills. Capable using Microsoft Office Application.
  • Preferred Skills: Preferred DoD 8570.01M IAT LVL II (CompTIA Security +).
