Cloud Developer Associate

HOW A CLOUD DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Designs, architects, deploys and maintains modular-based cloud solutions
  • Preprocess or clean structured and unstructured data
  • Design and implement advanced code and table configurations for complex data sets
  • Stay current with the sponsor's enterprise metadata collection tools
  • Produce ad hoc metrics reports to answer immediate needs
  • Implement the sponsor's existing coordination process
  • Provide technical education to staff on an ad hoc basis
  • Analyze large amounts of raw data to provide new business insights
  • Analyze user needs and evaluate new cloud technologies as they become available
  • Collaborate with development team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
  • Configure and monitor alerts via Cloud Watch events
  • Utilize the customer's knowledge management, version control, coding standards and delivery platforms: Jira, Anaconda, Cookiecutter, Jenkins, and GitHub
  • Review existing systems and make recommendations for improvement
  • Assist data scientists with code deployments, particularly providing CI/CD configurations and leverage solutions to create automations that enable timely tipping and queuing
  • Use microservice-based architecture and agile coding for engineering and development activities to support reliable network performance, modern resource management and innovative security processes
  • The Cloud developer associate will work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. This is a collegial atmosphere where everyone pitches in to ensure mission success.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience writing, maintaining, and customizing Python scripts that extract text from various formats such as MS Word, PDF, or XML
  • Experience writing Python scripts that pull data from web-based APIs and relational databases
  • Experience implementing regular expressions
  • Experience conducting evaluations or transformations of data and loading the results into a relational database
  • Experience reviewing documentation and using APIs of commonly used packages to choose the one best fit for a given task
  • Experience with Python, Bash, Terraform, administration, provisioning and use of cloud technologies with data science applications in the cloud, experience with NiFi and other ETL workflows
  • Experience using SQL in an Oracle RDS environment
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills; good communication and collaboration skills; client management skills
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Multi-cloud experience including AWS Services, VPC, autoscaling, RDS, Data Pipeline, Availability Zones, Elastic Load Balances, Domain name service, JAVA, JavaScript, LDAP, PKI certificate management, GIT, Linux utilities (netstat, grep, scripting, vi and isblk)
  • Experience with CI/CD systems
  • Experience utilizing LAMBDA and Code Deploy, JQuery, HTML V.5, JDBC and Apache Tomcat
  • Experience with Flask, Django, or similar frameworks
  • Web development experience such as front-end aesthetic design, back-end development, integrating Python into web applications, and connecting front-end interfaces to live data
  • Experience addressing procedural and administrative issues within the assigned problem set
  • Experience with web analytics processing and procedures
  • AWS certification preferred
