Job Summary

As part of the Pre-Construction team, the Project Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties. This position requires a highly self-motivated and professional individual, capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create project submittals
  • Create project comparison sheets
  • Generate and update additional project paperwork
  • Utilize project spreadsheets and software to complete task
  • Check email on a regular and consistent basis, and respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Conduct internet searches to locate specification sheets on project-specific fixtures, using client/contractor provided part numbers.
  • Assist the Pre-Construction Manager with daily activities related to all phases of a project lifecycle
  • Create job folders with in company software
  • Download files and RFIs to prep for sales team
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education and Experience
    • Proficiency in English
    • Advanced computer user skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe and internet search programs
    • High School Diploma required
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry a plus
  • Key Competencies
    • Ability to prepare and modify documents including correspondence, memos and emails
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
    • Strong written and verbal skills; must be able to exchange detailed information accurately and concisely with co-workers, clients, and vendors
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and switch priorities quickly and efficiently
    • Ability to perform standard office tasks - answering phones, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc.
    • Ability to work independently as well as be a positive team member
Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation - Hourly at $16.00 to $21.00
