Position Summary

Position Summary: The function of this position is to learn how to manage, direct, and accept accountability for operation of the Model Homes. The New Home Consultant Trainee will train and work with an experienced New Home Consultant, submit weekly sales, track sales lead information as requested, gain a general knowledge of the homebuilding market, market competition, and attend weekly sales meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the New Home Consultant and help greet clients.
  • Learn the processes and procedures of new home sales and operating in a homebuilding community.
  • Confirm that all model home facilities, equipment, and technology are fully functioning, stocked and clean.
  • Ensure that the model home(s) and grounds remain presentable throughout each day. Assist the New Home Consultant and Construction Manager with coordinating any required maintenance.
  • Complete any necessary tasks designated by Vice President of Sales during the day to ensure communication requirements are met.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports, as requested.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and forms.
  • Ensure community information packets are available for disbursement to meet needs based on guest traffic.
  • Complete the daily model checklist, performing thorough and complete daily inspections. Resolve any issues immediately or bring to the attention of the team.

  • Must be a responsible self-manager.
  • Proactive in anticipating problems before they arise and adjusting accordingly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Weekends and some holiday hours required
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS or previous sales administration experience preferred.
  • General computer experience and some MS Office proficiency required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience required.
  • Knowledge of the home building and real estate industries a plus, but not required.
