ReliaQuest is currently seeking a Manager of Sales Engineering to work closely with ReliaQuest's Sales Leadership team members to engage and secure initial business as well as grow new business opportunities within existing clients.

This individual will be the technical leader in the region and be responsible for driving all pre-sales activity. Managers are self-motivated professionals able to seamlessly adapt to complex issues and multitask while maintaining high attention to detail. A successful Manager will have a phenomenal record of prior technical pre-sales security expertise, possess expert verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate keen judgment and critical thinking while under pressure. The Manager's primary role will be to support pre-sales engineering efforts including but not limited to growing and developing a team, carrying out demonstrations, scoping and sizing ReliaQuest offering and articulating value of ReliaQuest's overall offering. A Manager of Sales Engineering should also be able to recognize and drive new business opportunities in current accounts, while generating a net new revenue pipeline.

The everyday hustle:

  • Recruit, hire, lead, and develop a Sales Engineering technical team focused on sales and customer success.
  • Deliver Sales Engineering services supporting activities needed to make quarterly sales targets.
  • Proactively engage with Sales Leadership to create close alignment and develop technical tools/programs to support sales campaigns and initiatives.
  • Motivate and lead your team strategically and tactically to meet leadership objectives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Sales leadership to develop strategic and technical territory and account plans.
  • Support and deliver regular performance reviews using the skill/will methodology along with assisting team members with building out and executing their individual development plans.
  • Manage performance and key talent closely ensuring that we are taking the necessary actions to retain top talent and manage performance at all levels.
  • Work cross functionally with support, product management, engineering, and other organizations to ensure alignment with Americas, provide process and product feedback, and resolve critical customer situations.
  • Deliver required sales revenue, gross profit, services and growth metrics in the respective technology and practice areas.
  • Own the development of the Security Solutions strategic plan and build associated tactical plans to achieve the strategy.
  • Build and foster relationships with our partners and customers.
  • Design, present and demonstrate Information Security solutions throughout the sales cycle, technologies include SIEM, IDS/IPS, End Point Security, Application Security, Network Access Control, etc.
Do you have what it takes?
  • 1+ years managing, building and growing Sales Engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
  • 3+ years or applicable network security and information security experience.
  • At least three years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Consulting role in an IT security environment.
  • Subject matter expertise in Information Security technology verticals (e.g., Firewall, IPS, DLP, SIEM, Application Security, Web Security).
  • Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, Account Managers, and management.
  • Highly motivated self-starter that does not require day-to-day management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment that requires tenacity to exploit opportunities and a steady demeanor to handle challenges.
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong relationships with security experts within the region.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
