Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales Engineer with a passion for defense technology and a deep understanding of the unique needs of technical government customers. The ideal candidate will be the technical bridge between our cutting-edge autonomous surface vessel products and potential government clients, ensuring our solutions are perfectly aligned with their current and emerging requirements. Your role will be pivotal in conveying the advanced technical features of our hardware and software and clearly articulating how our offerings are differentiated from current capabilities and the competition. You will work closely with our Business Development, testing, and engineering teams to ensure our solutions align with the requirements of the DoD. Responsibilities

Technical Expertise: Understand and convey complex technical information regarding our autonomous surface vessels to a technically adept audience, ensuring clarity and understanding. Translate this knowledge into presentations and briefs tailored to DoD requirements Customer Engagement: Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers. Establish and maintain relationships with technical contacts within the defense sector, particularly those interested in maritime defense solutions, understanding their specific challenges and needs Product Knowledge: Collaborate with our engineering and research and development teams to ensure product offerings meet or exceed customer requirements. Provide feedback to the product development team on product improvements or new products based on customer feedback and defense industry insights Market Research: Analyze industry and market trends, competitive products, and DoD procurement policies to identify new business opportunities Proposal Development: Assist with the preparation and delivery of compelling proposals that include technical specifications, cost estimates, and timelines Sales Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team to provide technical support during the sales process, including product demos. Attend industry conferences, seminars, and meetings to network and promote our company's innovative solutions Help identify potential leads and develop customer engagement strategies in the defense sector Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field Proven experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a similar role within the defense sector, particularly involving maritime or autonomous systems. Familiarity with autonomous maritime technologies, including ASVs, communication and navigation systems, and control software Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and compelling manner Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to sales Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers, attend demonstrations, and participate in relevant defense industry events Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one Saronic does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.
