Position Overview:

Mechanical Technician are deployed in commercial settings for projects such as product installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, project management. The Mechanical Technician at Force Building Services plays a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, the technician assesses project progress, estimates materials, and actively participates in the maintenance of equipment at client sites. Their proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail contribute to the overall success of conveyance, mechanical, and maintenance projects.

Essential Job Functions:

â?¢ Demonstrate a Customer First mentality and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and always complying with OSHA regulations.
â?¢ Complete assessments of projects at various stages of construction, reporting progress or setbacks to all invested parties.
â?¢ Adhere to client workplace expectations, including site access procedures, professional dress code, social media guidelines, cell phone usage, and site safety standards.
â?¢ Ability to estimate project scope, materials, timeline, and implementation plan.
â?¢ Participate in maintaining the successful operation of material handling equipment at Client sites.
â?¢ Understand Client site needs, supporting parts and services work as needed, identifying system enhancement opportunities via equipment and technology.
â?¢ Immediately collaborate with the appropriate team members internally to ensure the resolution of issues.
â?¢ Consistently work to deliver sites above and beyond the performance agreements.
â?¢ Responsible for the maintenance of the company vehicle, ensuring its reliability and safety.
â?¢ Keep tools in optimal condition, conducting regular inspections, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
â?¢ Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) on conveyors and related equipment at Commercial Clients' Warehouses.
â?¢ Perform conveyor repairs during downtime, such as overnight shifts, to minimize disruptions to warehouse operations.

Requirements:

â?¢ Basic customer service experience and willingness to represent the company to customers on site.
â?¢ Able to pass a background screening and have a clean driving record.
â?¢ Enthusiastic about furthering their skills through education and training.
â?¢ Representing Force Building Services in their work ethic, appearance, tone, and completed product.
â?¢ Must always conduct themselves with the utmost integrity.

Physical Requirements:

â?¢ Ability to work in various commercial settings and be on-call when needed.
â?¢ Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
â?¢ Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods of time.
â?¢ Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

â?¢ This role requires travel up to 100% of the time, traveling between cities frequently by plane or car.
â?¢ Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
â?¢ May be required to work on-call and outside of regular business hours.
